What tests are available?
Hometown Health offers basic COVID testing (Nasal swab testing and antibody testing) at this time. If you are a current member, please contact us through Spruce to discuss testing options and to schedule. We are also offering tests to non-members for a flat visit fee. The lab fee can be billed to insurance (which should cover the cost), or if you do not have insurance, we will submit for government funding through the lab. We cannot guarantee coverage of lab fees for non-members.
Timing
Nasal swab testing (PCR) is recommended for anyone with COVID symptoms, or for those who have been recently exposed. Blood testing (antibody) is only for those with known or possible previous infection, interested in seeing if they have developed antibodies. It takes about five to seven days to get results for PCR testing, and one day for antibody testing. Most appointments can be made same day or next day, during normal business hours. Negative testing does not guarantee absence of disease, and positive antibody testing does not guarantee future immunity. Please follow CDC recommendations while awaiting results.
Testing Fees
All COVID testing options are free of charge to Hometown Health members. Non-members are subject to a flat visit fee, payable at the time of registration. The additional lab fee can be billed to insurance (which should cover the cost), or if you do not have insurance, we will submit for government funding through the lab. We cannot guarantee coverage of lab fees for non-members.
